I Love San Francisco, But I Miss New Orleans

I love San Francisco, but I miss New Olreans.
San Francisco is my wife. Smart. College-educated. Feminist. With a good job and health insurance. New Orleans is a chick I dated in my twenties, alcoholic and crazy, a girl who gets prescribed lithium and either doesn't take it or takes double doses, who I was crazy about but who would probably not remember me if I ran into her.
I miss New Orleans. And San Francisco is the kind of wife that would insist I go visit her in the hospital.
!
The Oaks Club is still standing.
I am still breathing.
