Joy of Cooking Update: Spanish-Style Marinated Olives

The recipe for Spanish-style marinated olives called for refrigerating the the marinating olives for at least two days.

However, refrigerating them meant that the olive oil congealed. I'm not sure that really constitutes marinating anymore.

I would tell you if they were amazing or awful, but I don't really know good olives from bad olives. Olives is olives to me.
