The Continental League
Posted by Box Daddy
When Hurley Clover and a group of oil men-investors founded The Continental League back in 1947 no one expected it to prosper. Now with its fiftieth anniversary approaching, Hurley's Dream has become America's reality.
In the post-bellum malaise among America's demobilized fighting elite, The Continental League found its first home. Following several years of global warmaking, a yearning had taken hold in the minds of young men: to build an athletic culture that thrived on risk, dedication and the rope. From its humble beginnings in a Lubbock, Texas storefront, The Continental League has grown into a manly and impressive enterprise. Many enthusiasts consider the league to be a second home. Many dedicate their lives to its functions.
The Graven Titleholders of The Continental League:
The New Orleans Preservation Green
The San Antonio Engines
Atlas of San Francisco
The Urban Chicago
The Los Angeles Empire (aka The Black and White)
Troubadours Seattle
The Santa Fe
The Berg & Tyne Philadelphia

I do not know what this is all about. Methinks Box Daddy has gone off the deep end.
I say hurrah to Mr. Box Daddy. As one of those souls fortunate enough the call "The Conty" my second home, I say it is about time we received the coverage that we deserve. I've learned everything that I need to know about being a man from my association with this organization. Keep up the good work
