Big Mo'

University of California San Francisco Library/Center For Knowledge Management Fighting Au Jus, Presented by PalaceFamilySteakHouse.Com (visitors): 73
Spider Monkeys 2 (home): 52
Fighting Au Jus Season Record: 2-4
Fighting Au Jus Record At Home: 0-2
The Fighting Au Jus finish the season with big momentum (which I hear the kids call "big mo'"), winning our last two games. We led last night's game by 10 points at the half, but it was competitive. But several minutes into the second half, we started to pull away with it.
Coach Bob noted that the Spider Monkeys are probably the only team at this level able to hit three pointers reasonably consistently and still lose by more then 20 points. I like to think that they managed to do this by playing with an inappropriate intensity. They even had a technical foul called against them. (Note to self: Don't swear at the refs.)
We kept our composure (which I guess is easier when you're winning) and definitely earned the Most Improved Team award, except that the award doesn't exist. Cindy was informally awarded our Team MVP award. Dave, Justin, Jason, Chris, and I went for drinks after the game to celebrate.
Last season, the team had one win. We end this season with two wins. Next season, the goal is three wins.
