Green Tomato Mission Accomplished
Posted by Trott
I can't remember who suggested it, but it worked. I called a bunch of places at the San Francisco Wholesale Prodce Market but couldn't find them. I posted to Craig's List and didn't get any suitable replies. Finally, I went to the Alemany Farmer's Market. There, I was able to purchase 10 pounds of green tomatoes.
I dutifully made about a gallon of green tomato relish.
Now, the relish litter needs adopters.
Who wants green tomato relish?

I'm game; tell me how much it costs to ship and I'll paypal you the difference.
Dirk, don't you have a million different food allergies or something like that? I thought you had a massively restricted diet. Wouldn't you want to know what's in the stuff before I send it to you?
This is probably not feasible anyway. I didn't can the stuff or anything. By the time it got to Lubbock, it would likely kill you.
If you're going to be in San Francisco in the next month, let me know! I'll put aside a quart or so for you.
Is it still good?
I'll take some.
It is indeed still good. And if it gets eaten up at my holiday party at work this Thursday, there's a huge batch of Tart Corn Relish on tap, so I'll get you that instead.
Almost done with the relishes...
