T-Bone

Posted by Trott

I was reading about Beyonce's announcement that she is now to be referred to as Sasha Fierce. The writer likened it to the Seinfeld episode where George asks that people refer to him as T-Bone.

I have had a band for a couple of years now called Palace Family Steak House. How is it that I never thought to refer to either myself or any of my bandmates as T-Bone?

This morning, when ordering coffee at the café where I get coffee every weekend morning, I gave my name as T-Bone. The cashier took great pleasure, when my order came up, of announcing unnecessarily loudly, "T-Bone! T-Bone, your order is up! Is there a T-Bone in the house? I'm looking for T-Bone!"

I was happy. He was happy. Everybody wins!

Additionally, the path from me to T-Bone Wolk goes through Bruce Willis and Laurie Anderson. Not sure what to make of that.

It is odd that such a nickname was never conceived by your fans. I'll give a thumbs-up to your new identity. It suits you well and I'm comfortable that it is in capable hands. That said, please resist the temptation to give other band members desperate, meaty names 'Short Rib,' 'Chuck,' 'Salisbury' or 'Angus.' I fear it could degrade the PFSH image and make a mockery of the talented folks who flank you.
